{"id":129,"date":"2013-05-22T13:24:11","date_gmt":"2013-05-22T12:24:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/localhost\/csrf\/?p=129"},"modified":"2019-07-26T14:50:47","modified_gmt":"2019-07-26T13:50:47","slug":"official-launch","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/novacom.group\/csrf\/official-launch\/","title":{"rendered":"Official launch"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The official launch of the Centre for Sustainable Road Freight was held today at the Freight Transport Association\u2019s&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.fta.co.uk\/events\/carbon_conference_2013.html\">Cutting Carbon, Cutting Costs<\/a>&nbsp;LCRS Conference.<\/p>\n<p>Wincanton\u2019s Dave Rowlands,&nbsp;Chairman of the Centre, introduced the Centre during his opening speech at the conference with the following announcement:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am also delighted to be announcing the introduction of the Centre for Sustainable Road Freight, a collaboration between Heriot-Watt University and University of Cambridge to research the opportunities for decarbonising freight. This new venture, initially funded for five years, marries the engineering expertise of Cambridge University Engineering Department with the logistics and operational expertise of Heriot-Watt University\u2019s Logistics Research Centre.
