This is carried out by using the following methods:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Novel laboratory experimental methods with systematic investigation of vehicle features;<\/li><li>Improved vehicles tested in-service in collaboration with Waitrose and Tesco, with extensive measurements.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"copy\">The resulting soultion is a package of measures for improving the aerodynamics of tractor-semitrailer vehicles, including optimised rear end taper, underbodies, cab gaps and side skirts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Results of the research showed a 14% reduction in aerodynamic drag coefficient in modified vehicles.
